What you need to know about the multistate lawsuit against Google

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a multi-state lawsuit against Google. The lawsuit alleges the search giant of “anti-competitive conduct” in the online advertising industry. Paxton claims that Google uses its “monopolistic power” to control the pricing of online advertisements, fix the market in its favor, and eliminate competition.

Based in California, Google called Paxton’s claims “meritless” and said the price of online advertising has fallen over the last decade. An official recently rejected even the assertion that Google is dominant.

It’s soup season, and while soup is generally a healthy choice for a meal, there are several soups you should steer clear of.

If you’re trying to choose a healthy canned soup, you need to make sure you take a careful look at the sodium content. A lot of canned soups are packed with sodium, but are sometimes packed with sugar as well. Just be sure to double check the contents before assuming your soup is healthy. As far as go-to healthy canned soup options, Campbell’s Well Yes! butternut squash bisque, Progresso’s reduced sodium creamy tomato basil soup, and Healthy Choice chicken noodle soup are just a few great options to try.

As for soups to avoid, you should steer clear of anything with high sodium content. Panera Bread’s broccoli and cheddar soup has a whopping 1,080mg of sodium per serving, while Campbell’s condensed homestyle chicken noodle soup has 940mg of sodium per serving. What other soups made the healthy and avoid lists?

LEARNING FROM THE PAST

The Wright brothers fly their way into history

On this day in 1903, near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright made the first successful flight in the history of a self-propelled aircraft. Orville piloted the gasoline-powered propeller-driven biplane. The historic flight lasted twelve seconds and covered 120 feet

The Wright brothers grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and became interested in aviation after learning of the glider flights of the German engineer Otto Lilienthal. Unlike their older brothers, they did not attend college. However, they possessed an extraordinary technical ability and a sophisticated approach to solving problems in mechanical designs.

The Wright brothers further developed their airplanes and secured patents and contracts for their flying machines. In 1909, the U.S. Army’s Signal Corps purchased a specially constructed plane.

The historic aircraft is on permanent display at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
