A 19-year-old woman had apparently been drinking when she decided to use a gun’s laser sight to play with her friend’s cat, authorities say.
According to the complaint, the woman, whose name was not released, “turned on the laser sight and was pointing it at the floor to get the cat to chase it.”
She claimed that she didn’t know it was loaded.
But it was.
She wound up shooting the 21-year-old man who brought the handgun to the apartment they were visiting. He was struck in the thigh, and left the scene.
