This week there will be some unfamiliar objects in the sky. All seven planets that make up our solar system will be visible at various points throughout the day. The visibility of the planets is a cosmic coincidence.
Astronomer Joe Guzman has commented on the celestial event. “It’s a natural phenomenon, and it happens once in a while. It’s not rare, but it is infrequent. It kinda just happens that they’ll still be on the same side of the sun, but they’ll start to separate soon.”
It’s time to break out the telescope!
Venus and Mercury are bright enough to be seen in the mornings. Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn will be easier to see at night. Earth Sky published a guide to viewing all of these planets, along with Uranus, on its website.

Though a brighter financial future appears to be on the horizon, according to Goldman Sachs economists, the path forward could very well be a “bumpy road.”
The magic number for 2021 is 5.3%, according to economists. That’s the pace they expect to see the gross domestic product grow at, and it’s also the number they expect to see unemployment reach, too.
“While the path ahead is likely to be bumpy,” wrote David Mericle, who is a Goldman economist. “We expect mass immunization to largely complete the reopening process and trigger a reacceleration next spring that will leave full-year growth well above expectations. Once virus fears are largely out of the way, demand for most high-contact consumer services should quickly rebound to pre-pandemic levels.”
But what stands between the present economic moment and that brighter outlook?
