BREAKING NEWS BRIEF

The House of Representatives made history by voting to impeach President Trump for a second time for “incitement of insurrection” after a mob of his supporters besieged the Capitol on Jan. 6. The crowd failed to stop the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s electoral college win.
The House voted 232-197 to impeach the president. Ten Republicans joined the Democrats in their votes. Supporters of the impeachment push say that Trump is too dangerous to stay in the White House a minute longer.
Unlike the last House impeachment of Trump in December of 2019, Democrats had GOP support. Rep. Liz Cheney backed the impeachment because she said the Capitol’s violent attack couldn’t have happened without Trump.

YOUR MORNING MARKET UPDATE
|
Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average indicated gains on Thursday, up about 70 points, ahead of today’s big news from President-elect Joe Biden.
This evening, Biden is slated to reveal the details of his stimulus relief plan, which is expected to boost direct payments to most Americans, extend unemployment benefits, and also provide relief to governments on the state and local level.
Vital Knowledge’s Adam Crisafulli had this to say: “Stocks are extending their gains thanks to ongoing stability in the ‘three pillars’ (stimulus, vaccines, and earnings). The [ $2 trillion] number is about inline with expectations and investors need to watch yields very closely…All the Trump impeachment noise is largely irrelevant to markets.”
The other pillar that saw a boost of good news? Vaccines. Yesterday, Johnson & Johnson released data that revealed their vaccine was safe. Their drug only requires one dose.

Including a good summary of your professional qualifications at the top of your résumé can help potential employers identify whether you are a possible fit for a position. It can also set you apart from all the other résumés in a pile. But trying to summarize everything that makes you great at what you do can be difficult. Many people get bogged down trying to figure out how to condense it all into one concise section.
To make things simple, stick with trying to answer who, what, where, and when questions for each particular skill. That allows you to showcase your qualifications without getting long-winded.
And be sure to stick to a simple bullet point list – no more, no less. Most employers are reviewing hundreds of applications at once. You want them to see that you’re worth giving a call within seconds of seeing your résumé.
If you’re still having trouble, take a closer look at the job listing. Most likely, the skills the employer wants to see listed are right there in the ad. Use that as a springboard and get writing!
