The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended the search for six missing people who were reported as missing after their boat capsized off Florida’s Atlantic coast. The investigation began Friday morning when a boater rescued a Jamaican national. The rescued national said there were six others with him when their 18-foot vessel overturned off Fort Pierce. The boaters were en route from Bimini, Bahamas. Their destination is unknown.
“The decision to suspend a search-and-rescue case is never one we come to lightly,” Capt. JoAnn Burdian, commander of Coast Guard Sector Miami, said in a statement issued Sunday. “We offer our deepest sympathies to the friends and families of those involved during this difficult time.”

Futures slumped early this morning, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 fell 0.1%, and the Nasdaq slipped 0.2%.
Meanwhile shares of Verizon and Chevron got a boost during premarket trading this morning after investors learned that Warren Buffet’s company, Berkshire Hathaway, bought large stakes in each company.
“Our preference for stocks over bonds – supported by low-interest rates – is one of our highest conviction recommendations for 2021,” one strategist said. “Several segments of the equity market – particularly the energy sector and banks – offer higher yields than traditional high-quality bonds and offer attractive capital appreciation potential as interest rates rise.”

When February 17, 1931 rolled around, America probably had no idea that their nation would be shocked by a changing perception of beauty that would have a profound effect on not only artists but also collectors.
It was the International Exhibition of Modern Art – which we later just dubbed the Armory Show – that sparked the first dawn of Modernism here in the States.
In fact, it was the first time the phrase “avant-garde” was ever used to describe painting or sculptures. And when it opened in the evening, over 4,000 guests were milling around the rapidly created galleries in the 68th Regiment Armory on Lexington Avenue.
While two-thirds of the showcased artists were American, it was really the Europeans that were causing such a stir.
