THE WEEKEND MARKET UPDATE
|
We spent all of this week looking to Congress for some stimulus progress, only to be greeted with more disappointment. And while they were able to avoid another government shutdown, that argument has merely been “postponed” until next week when they have to do it all again.
While the government is as dysfunctional as ever, investors want answers. So, that’s why a lot of them are looking to the Federal Reserve. Next week, they’ll be holding policy meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday.
While their arsenal is limited, there are still things they can do to step in and save the day.

If you’re trying to eat healthier, there are a lot of myths out there to sift through. So, which diets and eating tips are really just bad advice that you should steer clear of?

In fact, it can actually be worse for your body and can cause the same health issues as sugar: obesity, heart disease, and junk food cravings that lead to a myriad of other problems.
Another myth is there is a best time to eat for weight loss. While there are times that may not be ideal to eat a full meal, there really isn’t a set time for eating that makes you more successful with achieving your weight loss goals. What works for each person varies widely, as there is no cookie-cutter best option everyone. What other surprising healthy eating myths were just debunked?
