These US hospitals are turning patients away because of major ransomware attacks

Dozens of hospitals in the United States have been forced to turn patients away as they deal with major ransomware attacks that have rendered them effectively useless.

A string of attacks targeted several hospitals and clinics in two states that resulted in IT system failures, staff members being locked out of programs needed for business and patient care, and crashed computer systems.

The attacks quickly crippled normal operations and forced hospitals to divert ambulances, cancel surgeries, and postpone appointments for outpatient procedures.

Which hospitals were the victims of the ransomware attacks and is it time to worry that the attacks will continue to spread across the country?
