Anyone traveling from the United Kingdom to the U.S. must now pass a virus test within a 72-hour window before their flight. Pretty soon, this requirement could be expanded.
“Efforts are currently ongoing in the U.S. to assess the risk reduction associated with testing and other recommended preventative measures, determine what a feasible testing regime for air travel may look like, and gain some level of agreement on standards for a harmonized approach to testing for international air travel,” officials said.

Alaska Airlines has announced that it will no longer allow emotional support animals on flights. This announcement comes just weeks after the US government tightened its definition of service animals permitted on planes.
Starting Jan. 11, the airline will only allow service dogs, “which are specially trained to perform tasks for the benefit of a qualified individual with a disability.” Under Alaska’s new policy, a maximum of two service dogs per guest in the cabin will be accepted. Psychiatric service dogs will be included in the new policy.

Last year, the average American was in terrible financial shape. Now, post-pandemic, it’s even worse!
Money was the single greatest source of stress in the lives of 2 out of every 3 Americans. The median American household has less than $12,000 in savings. By comparison, the same average American is holding over $90,000 in debt.
The sad news is that even when times are “good” we still struggle to make the right decisions with our money. And it’s not because we don’t know any better.

Remote interviews can be a little tricky, but there are five simple tips that can help you ace your next virtual interview.
Though your interview might be taking place by phone or video chat, it’s still important to dress the part. Make sure you dress like you would for an in-person interview, even if the interviewer won’t see you (or will only see your neck and up). Dressing for success will give you a boost of confidence that will shine through during your interview.
Another tip is to try to minimize distractions. If you’re interviewing from home, pets, kids, phones, and other things can cause distractions that could make you come off as disinterested or preoccupied during the interview. Make sure you dedicate a quiet place as your interview room and put plans in place for pets and kids during the big call. What other tips can help you land your next job through a remote interview?

Nearly everyone makes an attempt at creating and keeping New Year’s resolutions every year, even if they’re half-hearted at best. But with the ongoing pandemic, many people find themselves with more time to focus on accomplishing their resolutions.
One of the most important parts of creating and following through with a New Year’s resolution is understanding the difference between your aims and your actions. Ask yourself, “why am I making this resolution?” If you can’t think of a better answer than “because it’s New Year’s,” then you most likely won’t succeed.
But if you can align your aim with your action, you’ll knock out all of your goals for 2021. Be sure that you’re making these resolutions to benefit either yourself and others. If you have a real goal behind your resolutions, you’re more likely to keep them.
Pair that with these other tips for keeping your resolutions, and you’ll be well on your way to a productive 2021!
