Why did Trump’s national security advisor make a disturbing AR-15 comment?

Donald Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn made a disturbing comment when discussing an AR-15 rifle. 

Flynn, who had a decorated military career, is no stranger to controversy in Washington. He most notably admitted to lying to the FBI about his dealings with Russia. Though that situation landed him in hot water, Donald Trump provided him with a full pardon. 

But Flynn’s latest comments have created quite the stir and have landed him in hot water yet again. While being presented with an AR-15 rifle during an event, Flynn quickly said “maybe I’ll find somebody in Washington, DC,” before trailing off as the crowd erupted in laughter. 

Flynn’s comments didn’t sit well with a lot of people, with several taking to their social media accounts to voice their concerns.
