Andrew Cuomo just announced his plans to resign in 14 days due to a slew of sexual assault complaints that include some pretty incriminating evidence. And while he still remains in office for the next two weeks, the field for his replacement after Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul finishes Cuomo’s term through 2022 is already taking shape.
One of the top candidates who could run for New York governor is Attorney General Tish James. Those holding the title of Attorney General have a great track record in New York, as the last two elected governors have both been Attorney Generals in the past. Additionally, James is an outspoken critic of Cuomo who has helped launch investigations into his reported wrongdoings.
But Hochul has been mum about running for a full term in the next election. Will she try to stay on and fix the wrongs committed by Cuomo?
