She’s back: Liz Cheney, ousted from leadership over her outspoken opposition to Donald Trump, has been hand-picked by Pelosi to serve on a Jan. 6 committee that no one thought would be bipartisan.
It’s unclear whether any other Republicans will join Cheney, although House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy explicitly told freshmen representatives that they would be stripped of their committee responsibilities should they accept a position on Pelosi’s Jan. 6 committee.
