Nearly a week after the tragic condo collapse in Surfside, Florida, President Joe Biden may finally make his way to the disaster’s site. When pressed by reporters recently if he had plans to visit the site, he quickly quipped that he hoped he could.
“Yes, I hope so, as soon as we can. Maybe as early as Thursday,” Biden quickly exclaimed. Shortly after his remarks, plans to visit were formally put in place and the White House confirmed that the President and First Lady Jill Biden would make the trip to Florida later this week.
Though the Biden Administration has responded to the disaster with aid, support, and boots on the ground at the site, the President has appeared to be in no rush to visit the site himself, that was until reporters pressed him on the matter.
