Blue Origin has sold almost 0 million in future space flights

After Blue Origin’s historic human spaceflight yesterday morning, ticket sales for future passenger trips are through the roof. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos announced that his company has already sold $100 million worth of tickets for upcoming space journeys.

He hasn’t shared just how much wannabe astronauts will have to pay to join a future flight, but if the previous public auction gives any indication, customers could potentially drop $28 million if they want to experience microgravity.

“The demand is very, very high,” Bezos said in a presentation. “We really do want to practice with this vehicle, so we’re going to have to build more boosters … to fly more frequently.”

So when do the next millionaires take off to skirt the edge of space?
