A cat's meowing helps rescuers find its owner, who fell down a ravine

Authorities spent over an hour searching for an 83-year-old woman when an unexpected hero came to the rescue.

The search began on Saturday after neighbors became concerned about the woman’s whereabouts and called emergency services. The woman had fallen down a ravine near her home.

Eyewitnesses attribute finding the missing woman to the persistent meowing of her cat, Piran, from the top of the ravine. Rescuers lifted the woman out of the ravine on a stretcher. She was taken to a hospital and reported to be in stable condition. Police have updated the public on the woman’s condition. She is still recovering but is in good spirits.
