Will Governor Andrew Cuomo be impeached? Experts say it’s not a matter of if, but when

As dramatic details continue to unfold regarding New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s sexual assault allegations, many experts and leaders are saying an impeachment is on the horizon.

The Assembly Judiciary Committee has given Cuomo until August 13 to submit any and all evidence he wishes to share regarding his case. No further evidence will be permitted for his defense after that date, and the committee will then decide a course of action based on their findings.

Cuomo is being pressured from top Democrats across the nation to resign, including President Joe Biden. But Cuomo insists he plans to stay in office and has no intention of submitting a resignation.

So will Cuomo be forcibly removed from office by being impeached? And how would the impeachment process play out if it comes to that?
