President Joe Biden ripped into Facebook and similar social media sites recently by saying the platforms are literally “killing people.”
The President’s scathing remarks stem from what he says is misinformation about the pandemic circulating Facebook and other social media platforms.
“They’re killing people, I mean they’re really, look, the only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated,” Biden quipped to reporters as he was leaving the White House for Camp David. “And they’re killing people,” he added as he walked away.
Biden’s growing frustration with misinformation about the pandemic has turned the White House’s attention to better policing such content and finding ways to remove it from the public eye.
