Three people were hurt after an “active shooter” opened fire at a Smile Direct Club warehouse early Tuesday morning. The gunman, whose identity has not yet been released, was apparently killed by the officers who responded to the incident just before 6 a.m.
The shooter typically worked the day shift, and he began gunning down the other employees of the teeth alignment company as the shifts changed, authorities said.
He apparently had a semi-automatic weapon and an extended magazine. He had been aiming that gun at officers when he was shot. He died at a hospital a short time later.
