The 14-year-old rescued from a fiery crash apparently stole the car

According to police, a thief allegedly stole an 18-year-old’s car, and crashed into a train track platform, causing the vehicle to catch fire. The police he’d initially fled, wound up saving the driver from the flames. 

As it turns out, the suspect was a 14-year-old boy who was also believed to have been drinking at the time of the incident. 

It began when the suspect and two other people attacked the 18-year-old victim just before 1 a.m., police said. The trio assaulted the man, taking his backpack and keys.
