McCarthy called out Pelosi over this Senate mandate, but she just fired back

Kevin McCarthy and Nancy Pelosi are trading jabs once again. McCarthy had some scathing comments for Pelosi this week due to the new mandate for masking up in the Senate. 

“Make no mistake, the threat of bringing masks back is not a decision based on science, but a decision conjured up by liberal government officials who want to continue to live in a perpetual pandemic state,” McCarthy said via twitter. 

With tensions growing between the two, Pelosi fired back at McCarthy with some fierce comments of her own. 

“That’s the purview of the Capitol Physician…the mandate from him. I have nothing to say about that except we honor it,” Pelosi explained to reporters when asked for her thoughts on McCarthy’s comments. 

But Pelosi quickly took things a step further when she threw this personal jab at McCarthy before being whisked away from reporters.
