Israeli PM will press Biden to prioritize Iran in White House visit

On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is set to meet with President Biden — and announce a new policy on Iran.

Iran is in nearly permanent conflict with Israel because of what Iran sees as Israel’s unlawful occupation of the holy city of Jerusalem. Iran also just elected a hardliner new leader, who is also the only Iranian president to have been sanctioned by the United States before even taking office.

Talks about Iran’s nuclear capabilities have been stalled in the wake of the election and Israel is getting antsy.
