Texas toddler missing after chasing dog into the woods

A 3-year-old Texas boy is missing after he chased his neighbor’s dog into the woods, authorities said.

Christopher Ramirez was last seen following the pooch into the woods between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday near the Firefox neighborhood of Plantersville, news station KBTX reported.

His family told authorities that they had just returned home with their food truck from selling refreshments.

When the boy wandered away, they were busy unpacking the vehicle, KBTX reported.

The dog eventually came out of the woods, but the toddler did not, authorities said.

Several law enforcement agencies have joined the search efforts, employing K9s and drones to find the boy.

“We’re not stopping until he’s found. End of story. We’re not stopping,” Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell told the outlet.

Sowell said they don’t believe anyone is responsible for the toddler’s disappearance.

“At this time there’s no foul play suspected,” he said.
