After the Dutch government imposed a nationwide lockdown in the Netherlands, a teenager and a 21-year-old man apparently burned down a virus testing center in protest. Now, the pair has been convicted. The adult faces prison time, while the minor will have to report to youth detention.
The duo broke into the test location, and allegedly used a burning face mask to start the blaze. One the fire was going, they added flammable disinfectant and the resulting blaze consumed the building.
“[These two people] are guilty of a serious criminal offense,” officials said. “Beyond that, the destruction of the test location meant that [virus] testing in Urk was impossible for a time.”
