What you need to know about Kamala Harris's first visit to the border

The Vice President’s trip to the border is being called “a dog and pony show” and “a slap in the face,” among other, less charitable things.

“She is going to El Paso, which is the one area on the southwest border that is mostly controlled. That’s not where the problem is. If she wanted to see how bad it is with the entries, she would go to Rio Grande Valley,” says National Border Patrol Council VP Art Del Cueto.

But even that isn’t where the controversy ends. When it comes to Harris, the criticism is fiery from the people at the border.
