A 37-year-old Georgia woman was slated to get married on August 27. But, on August 13, her 13-year-old son apparently killed her, police say.
According to authorities, the boy called the cops in the afternoon, and police arrested him as a suspect in her death.
Bowers had been engaged to Nikolaos Zaharopoulos since 2019, her Facebook shows. She was apparently a Navy veteran who had been born in New York. She had also worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation before moving to Georgia, according to her social media page.
