Man accused of dragging, assaulting police officer in mask dispute
A 61-year-old Minnesota man is in police custody after dragging a police officer with his car and assaulting him with a hammer following a report of an assault that began as a mask dispute, police say.
Police were called to a Menards store on Wednesday after the suspect, identified as Luke Alvin Oeltjenbruns, allegedly attacked an employee with lumber amid a mask dispute.
The incident happened roughly 60 miles west of where George Floyd and Daunte Wright, both Black men, were killed.

MARKET UPDATE
Concerns over inflationary pressure on earnings will test stocks in the week ahead
Earnings season gets into full swing in the week ahead and will be a major focus for investors.
So far, earnings growth for the S&P 500 is 30.2%, based on actual reports and estimates, making it the best quarter since the third quarter of 2010, according to FactSet.
Lori Calvasina, head of U.S. equity strategy at RBC, said she is watching the coming week’s earnings for signs of margin pressures from higher commodity prices, supply chain issues and other cost factors.
Earlier President Joe Biden proposed raising corporate taxes to 28% from 21% to help pay for his infrastructure plan.
While the fate of the tax hike is still not clear, the increase in other costs is apparent. Fuel costs have risen sharply with a 30% rise in oil prices since the beginning of the year. Lumber prices in the futures market are at an all-time high and copper futures are up about 17% year-to-date.
