Ireland became the latest county to stop using AstraZeneca’s virus vaccine. Ireland has taken this action “out of an abundance of caution” following reports of serious clotting in some of its recipients. Ireland’s National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) recommended the temporary deferral pending the receipt of more information from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) in the coming days.

AstraZeneca on Sunday said it had conducted a review covering more than 17 million people vaccinated in the European Union and the UK, which had shown no evidence of an increased risk of blood clots. Denmark, Norway, and Iceland have suspended the vaccine over clotting issues, while Thailand became the first country outside of Europe to do so on Friday.

The EMA said on Friday that there is no indication that the events were caused by the vaccination, a view that the World Health Organization echoed. Irish authorities received some reports of clotting similar to those seen in Europe last week but nothing as severe as the cases in Norway.

You can make cooking healthier by what you choose to cook your food in, but did you know that decision can also improve your brain’s health?

One of the best oils you can choose to cook with for brain health is olive oil. It contains a phytonutrient called hydroxytyrosol that helps protect your blood vessels. Keeping your blood vessels healthy will keep your cardiovascular system and brain in tip top shape.

LEARNING FROM THE PAST

It seems like forever since Greta Thunberg was hogging all of the headlines. But, looking back – it really hasn’t been that long at all – just two years – right down to the day.

However, the world has changed a whole lot in the past two years. 24 months later, her move to push kids to “strike” against their school systems to raise awareness about climate change doesn’t have quite the same ring to it. That’s because with lockdowns across the planet, a massive number of students aren’t “in” school at all.

But, she’s still pretty busy today. After all, it wasn’t more than a few days ago that she took to the Internet to give President Joe Biden a piece of her mind. While many thought she’d take it easier on Biden than she did on Trump, they might want to check their bets. Because she’s now blaming HIM for ignoring the science.

I wonder what will be next for Greta?
