Infidelity argument leads this groom to shoot two on his wedding night

Devin Jose Jones was still wearing his tuxedo when he was arrested on his wedding night for shooting two people, police say. The 30-year-old had apparently gotten into an argument with his new wife and a male friend while the trio was stuck in traffic. He allegedly accused the passengers of having an affair of some kind, and chased the man out of the car, shooting him down.

Another person was struck in the hand after a bullet pierced the window of a different car.

The bride took refuge in an ambulance that was on the scene for an unrelated incident. The groom wasn’t finished with his tirade quite yet, however.

“You simply cannot duplicate this kind of scenario in training,” Sheriff Mike Tregre said. “Our officers reacted bravely and accurately and took the suspect into custody with minimal personal damage. It is a testament to the training our young men and women do and I am very proud of each and every one of them.”
