Handcuffed man hijacks an ATV, leads police on high-speed chase

Man allegedly steals ATV, leads police on wild chase while handcuffed

I’ve never personally pushed an ATV to its limits, but one Oklahoma man apparently felt he had no other choice. Before stealing the ATV, Lucas Strider first managed to escape custody by fleeing from a patrol car — while handcuffed.

If that alone wasn’t weirdly impressive enough, Strider still had the handcuffs on when he stole an ATV from a nearby home and led police on a chase through multiple counties. He managed to get the ATV up to 70 miles an hour at some points, according to police.

Unfortunately, Strider was eventually apprehended when officers used the finicky nature of the ATV against him. Here’s what went down when he was finally re-captured.
